Most people know that you're pregnant for 10 months, the reason they say 9 is because you usually don't know you're pregnant until about 4 weeks gestation. I am now going to give you little blurbs and photos of me through my pregnancy and how I thought each month went!

For the first month I was pregnant I had no clue up until I took my second test. If you read my post "Pregnancy Tests Play Mind Games" Then you would have seen that my doctor did a test on the 25th of July and I took a second test on the 27th and it showed positive. I also took a back up test with my doctor again on the 29th which was also positive! It wasn't until the doctor was about to do my first test that I had the feeling I could be pregnant and by the second test I thought for sure I was! The curse was a whole day late!!! That was when I found out we were expecting!!

At this point I remember always rubbing my belly and pushing it out as far as I could so people would know I was expecting! I wanted the world to know!! I only had small bouts of nausea between 4 and 8 weeks, I was never sick to my stomach though. Thank God for scientists and chemicals and thank scientists for figuring out what chemicals to put together to stop nausea! Dyclectin (if that's how you spell it) was a life saver!! My biggest craving this month was cucumbers with salt and vinegar!

At 3 months I was still feeling great, I wasn't getting nauseated as often but I was pretty tired. I slept whenever I could! I would nap after work and go to bed right after dinner. That was if my husband Brant and I weren't staying up watching series of different TV shows! My biggest craving this month was Celery and what was totally repulsive to me was hamburger as well as chocolate milk and eggs! I was also addicted to listening to I believe in a thing called love by the darkness ALL the time!!

At 4 months I was craving anything pickled or sweet!! Weird combination I know! My philosophy for cravings was GIVE THE BELLY WHAT IT WANTS!!! I was having crazy mood swings by this point... Ask my husband!! ahaha My jeans were finally getting tight and we had told all of our friends and family we were expecting! First trimester was over so I knew I would be getting my energy back! We were also only 2 weeks away from finding out if we were having a boy or a girl! We also got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time.. It really was a miracle to hear that little pitter patter and know you were alive and well!

Au revoir, jeans. Au revoir, to my waist. Bon jour, baby belly!!! Week 20 was when I really started to see my belly pop, I was still feeling great and had tons of energy!! All I wanted to do was eat! But I felt like a fertility goddess! For exercise I tried to walk as much as possible and I had been doing prenatal yoga which I continued to do daily through out my pregnancy. My baby's kicks were starting to get really hard, Brant finally got to feel the baby kick when I was 17 or 18 weeks pregnant. Did I mention the baby started kicking at week 15?? We also found out we were having a baby boy! And I was always jonesin' for popcorn!

Mmmmm... chocolate!! Definitely my biggest craving this month!! Next to the nasty with my husband! We had continued to have sex as often as we could and ladies, be sure to work it second trimester... It was definitely the best sex I had through out my pregnancy!! The things I missed most at this point was a normal sized bladder!! I was getting up about 3 or 4 times a night to pee!! Music this month was mainly OK Go 'End Love' and Lady Gaga 'Judas'. My baby boy would kick like crazy whenever I listened to music!

Mr Squiggly, that is what we called him at this point! He moved non-stop!! This was when we went to Ottawa to get a 3D ultrasound done of our baby boy! We were too impatient to see his little face and on our way home the engine blew in our car!!! Did I mention there was also a HUGE snow storm and I could have sworn I was going to die!! But after a loong drive through snow, the engine blowing and our police car ride home we did make it. And warmed up by working around my quickly growing belly to do the nasty.

Freezie please?! mmm!! Especially cream soda flavored ones! At this point I was most comfortable sleeping on my side with my body pillow.. when it came to night time cuddles my pillow totally replaced Brant!! I spent a lot of my nights on the couch with my pillow watching the family channel. Mainly because I was getting up a million times a night to pee and I didn't want to disturb my hubby!

Is my body to booty-licious for you!! I really started to pop at this point.. I seemed to be growing at an exponential rate!! I was ssooo close to the finish and I didn't think my belly could get any better but without a stretch mark in sight I seemed be doing well.. then I passed a mirror in my underwear and realized I had stretch mark on my butt and thighs. But my husband didn't mind.. at least he didn't mention it! I started listening to a lot of classical music as well as Bob Marley!!

I was soo ready for my son to come at this point! I remember sleeping A LOT!! I was on Mat Leave from work at this point and I still managed to do yoga and the nasty!! How with that huge bump in front of me don't ask!! It's all a blur at this point anyways!! I slowly approached my due date and still no baby... A week later exactly at 12 am I woke up to a tap on my belly. As I opened my eyes that was no tap.. Something popped inside me, I sat up extremely scared that something was wrong with my baby boy and GUSH an ocean of liquid poured out and I called to my husband who was in the washroom and said I think my water broke and instantly he replied "what do you mean your water broke?!"
