I went into work
around 8 am on July 27th, I knew something was off but kept it to myself. My
manager T asked me how I was doing and I simply answered with an "Ok, How
are you?"
Instantly she replied with, “Why just ok?!"
So I explained how I
just wasn't feeling myself... A little off, that's all. Right away she said
YOU'RE PREGNANT!! HAH I laughed, there is no way... we JUST started trying!!
So I went on with my
day and as it progressed it got me thinking about what she said. I went on my
lunch at noon and sat across from Shoppers contemplating on whether or not to
buy a test. (Now you should know that I had seen my doctor on July 25th and he
had taken a test and it came up negative) I thought to myself I could waste 20
bucks on a test and it come up negative or I could find out we are pregnant.
I decided to go into
Shoppers to check out the tests and there just happened to be some on sale so I
grab one to test my luck. I went in the washroom peed on the stick and the one
line came up... no cross through it so I set it on the sink, sighed a breath of
slight disappointment pulled up my drawers and started to wash my hands..
For some reason
while washing my hands I glanced down at the stick as to see if it had miraculously
changed and then I almost fainted... There it was, clear as day. A POSITIVE!!!!
I sat back down on the toilet to catch my breath then ran
back to work to tell my manager I was taking off early. She knew what it was as
soon as I told her I had to go see my husband.
I was so excited I
couldn't wait until I got home... I showed him the test in the car and he didn't believe me at first then he was just as excited as me! A few days later we went to the doctors to confirm and sure enough, our little peanut had started to grow!! <3
